Watermelon Time

I think this Basket of Flowers looks lovely. Mostly they are artificial with just a few fresh picked ones in with them. They are sitting on the settee on our back patio for me to take this photo in the morning sunshine.

The heading of this Blog is Watermelon Time. So here is a Recipe a bit different maybe to what you are used to. I hope you like it as it is used to go with cold meat, lettuce and other salad things.

Recipe:

WATERMELON SALAD

Ingredients: Watermelon, Mint (fresh or dried) Spring Onions/Scallion or Spanish or Red Onion. Which ever you prefer.

Method:

Cut Watermelon into balls or 2 cm. dice, place in large serving bowl, add the chopped up Onion, sprinkle in the fresh or dried mint to taste.

Mix well and serve cold with sliced cold Meat, Chicken or Fish.

Cover and cool in fridge until needed.

This is nice and also very refreshing on a hot day, you can of course use it as an extra salad with your B.B.Q food. It will keep well in the fridge for a couple of days. Just remember to cover the container when in the fridge to help keep it fresh.

Here is a Bible verse: Proverbs: 20 v 7. The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.

Here is a Poem:

Little one sleeping there,

Tender Love Divine.

Little one Sleeping there,

Are you truly mine?

Has God given you to me,

Tender Love Divine?

Has God given you to me?

Yes, – You’re truly mine.

Now that our Winter is here:     –            it is nice to cook some different kinds of Biscuits (Cookies) and have with a lovely cup of Tea, Coffee, Cocoa or some other hot drink that you prefer for Morning or Afternoon tea.

It is good to share with a friend (or to invite a few friends) to share and taste your new Recipe.

A casual Morning or Afternoon Tea for about an hour is probably very nice.

Another thing could be to invite your friends to bring and share Biscuits (Cookies) that they have made, or to bring a new Recipe with them while tasting your latest creation.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is the Day that The Lord has made.  Let us Rejoice and be glad in it.
