Avocado Time

This is a Basket of Flowers that I painted of Roses in Full Bloom. Roses always seem special to me, there are so many verities and endless colours of Blossoms, they are so beautiful and the petals so soft so touch.

Do you like Avocado’s…. it is Avocado Season here in Carnarvon at the moment. They are very nutritious with soft flesh and easy to eat and prepare. Here is one easy Recipe to eat and enjoy.

Genesis: Chapter 5 verse 1: ……..When God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.

How about that then? We are made in the likeness of God our Heavenly Father! Not like apes, monkeys, or any other creature but in the likeness of God.

Sunlight gives life

Sunshine looks good on these flowers.

It is good to let some Sunshine into our lives, to open the doors, open the windows around the house to let the Sunshine in sometimes. Not of course in the heat of the Summer when we need to keep the house cool. The flowers in the photo above look so lovely and fresh.

Maybe bring some yellow flowers indoors sometimes as a reminder of the Sunshine….it is surprising how they can lift the spirit just to have them in a vase on the table or somewhere where you can see them as you walk past during the day.

Remember our Wildflower Season…..Look what the Sunlight has brought to life. Acres and Acres of Wildflowers in Western Australia. As you travel through the North West of our State the colours change from Acres of Purple or of White. What a wonderful sight to travel through. We really do have a God who showers the Sunshine on the righteous and the unrighteous. None of us could possibly produce a marvellous setting as the one above.

Here is a Recipe for today as it is our Avocado Season I thought you may like this simple way to use some of them:

Avocado on Toast

Slice Ripe Carnarvon Avocado onto Toast, sprinkle with Vinegar and Pepper.

Very nice for lunch with Salad or on it’s own.

This is an Oil Painting of Daffodils for my Mother (Her favourite Flowers)

So we can let a bit of Sunshine into our lives by cooking something nice for our everyday meals. Experiment with something new for ourselves or our family and friends. We can let the Sunshine come into our hearts by doing something nice for others.

Romans: 1 verse 16 says: For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.

So we need not be ashamed to bless others with our cooking or by just giving them a small posy of Flowers. In that way a little Sunshine comes into our lives and into theirs.

Even at the evening of our day we can sometimes enjoy the lovely SUNLIGHT which gives life to all on this planet that we live on.

I hope you have a lovely day today and let a little Sunshine into your life.
