A Vision (a Dream)

The above is my Oil Paintings of a Kingfisher.

Sometimes we have to have a vision or a dream – something to look forward to each day. One of my dreams or visions is to continue to paint all sorts of paintings. A vision is something that comes to mind of the kind of painting that I would like to do at the time. So the above is one that I really liked painting.

The Window:

Have you looked out of the Window today? Have you opened the Curtains and Blinds?What do you see from your Window today? Look out at the Sky through the Window Pane.Is it blue or is it grey – is it dark or is it light? Much depends on how you feel when you look.If the sky is Grey you may feel sad. But if it is blue then you can feel glad.Each day is different from the day before so look out first before opening your door.Where will  you go, what will you do with the new day you have been given?So get up and get ready to face the day, there are lots of things you can do and say.Have a nice breakfast what ever the weather. Try not to rush if you have time have a Cuppa.A nice breakfast and drink is a good way to start. This day only comes once so give it a chance.

What a lovely Basket of Flowers brought home from a Special Service at our Church.

Flowers are Beautiful, many people have fond memories of certain ones. Just think of what particular ones that you like. Maybe put one in a vase today in the Kitchen or your Living Room. Flowers are lovely to have in any room in the house, they make the room feel special.

The Wind is Blowing.

The Wind is blowing the leaves are flying. It is so gusty the Wind today.

Let us watch as it blows things away. To stand in the midst of the Wind is great,

to feel it move around your body. Also to blow through your hair. Where did it come from?

Where does it go to? We can never know. Listen to the Wind in the trees.

The trees seem to love it as they sway back and forth with their branches.

You cannot touch the Wind but you can feel it when it blows against your body.

Sometimes it can try to blow you along. Then other times it is just a gentle Breeze.

I love to hear the rustle of the leaves in the trees. To watch them move back and forth like dancing to the Wind.

This is a Painting that I did of a windblown tree here in North Western Australia.

It’s nice to Work!

A Lovely arrangement of Real Flowers from my Garden plus Artificial ones make up this pretty picture.

Do you think it is nice to work? Well it all depends on what sort of work it is of course. We are all meant to work for our living not just to rely on others to supply us with whatever we need. Unless of course we are unable sometimes in our life to be able to. Then we must rely on others to help us. But if we are able bodied sometimes we can choose the work that we like to do. To be self employed is great but to work for someone or an organization then we should do our best for them and feel a sense of achievement of our work. Remember they are paying us wages so we can live life.

What a joy it is to do some work that we really like, maybe Craft work that we can sell and really enjoy doing it. Two of the things that I like to do are: Writing and Painting. So will put a poem here that will be in my next book (hopefully) plus I can put a Painting on to show you. I have had Exhibitions on an off for quite a few years… Yes, that is work but it is work that I can enjoy. Am hoping you can enjoy some of the work that you do, especially if you are working for someone or helping them.

So it can be nice to Work!

Today will never come again, so what are we going to do? It gives us time to think for a while of what a lovely day it could be. First let us think of our days that are past, they seem to have gone so very fast. But today we can do something different again. Something special just for today. Maybe phone a friend and have a chat. This maybe our last day, fancy that. However we may have many more days to come. Each day will come – never to return. Because Tomorrow will be another day to treasure. Today will be gone and when – Tomorrow comes it will be called Today!
