For todays Poem I thought this would be a good one about our children. It is called:…………..

Your Children

Your children are not pets you know, they are little Girls and Boys. They are not things that you have found. They are not – to be used as toys.

Each little Child has a heart you know, that God Himself put there and as the child begins to grow, it fills with love, for Him to share.

As a Christian it’s your job you know to tell your child of Jesus. Let Him know and understand – that Jesus wants to please us.

Our Father in Heaven is God, you know, so don’t deny your Child; Love him and tell him while he is young, don’t let him just run wild.

You can sing and rock him with love, just as Mary did with her bundle of joy, sent from God our father in Heaven – who was – Jesus, His own little Boy.

So your children are not pets you know, they are here to bring God glory. So hold them gently, sing to them and tell them Jesus Story.

Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting:

but a woman who fears THE LORD is to be praised.

Well not just a woman but for a man as well, it is good to have that inner beauty: i.e. peace, love, joy, compassion in our hearts. We should not rely on being beautiful and charming on the outside just to please people – if our hearts are not pleasing to God.

Wild Horses

– Wild Horses –

Wild as the wind the horses run.

Tossing and neighing in the sun.

God above has given us these.

Beautiful creatures – run in the breeze.

Toss your manes – hold your heads high.

Look to your Maker in the sky.

When you stand still surely you know,

God your Maker loves you so.

Sometimes, when you stand so still,

It’s as though you really know His will.

You are obedient standing there.

Even though you look and stare.

What do you think in your beautiful head?

God has clothed you and you are fed.

He gave the grass to grow for you.

The land for you to run through.

So run my beauty – wild and free,

Ever more – for God gave you to me,

To love and appreciate, Beauty of God.

Run wild one, where no man’s trod.

The Dark Brown Leaves really help to make this a lovely presentation of a Basket of Flowers.

There are Geraldton Wax & Bougainvillea Flowers included to give it a stunning effect.

Maybe today you may like to use some Leaves from your Garden or Hedge row if you have one – then add a few pretty flowers to show off the Leaves.

You do not need many leaves and you could be pleasently surprised at the end result.

Nice Basket with Flowers

These Flowers do look nice in this arrangement. Yes they are ready to go and hopefully will give someone pleasure by just looking at them while sitting in Church.

Here is the First Verse of a Poem that I thought was very nice.

The Poem is called: Where is that Special Place?

Where is that Special Place I yearn to be?

In the arms of my beautiful love,

in the embrace of my beloved.

Shielded and safe from the world out there.

I don’t think that verse needs any explantation it is a place where many people long to be.

I will Sing Praise.

Well there we are – maybe we can sing some sort of Praise to God today – to thank him for all our Blessings…..which when you think of it are many.

Beautiful Bougainvillea Flower

Bougainvillea and Lantana Arrangement

ready for the Altar.

The above arrangement looks so lovely.

They were all flowers from my garden.

It is surprising how nice you can make flowers look when you put them together with a few different leaves either in a vase or in (wet flower oasis) in a a basket.

Sit the oasis in a plastic bag so that it does not drip into the basket or onto your furniture.

You can make some lovely presentations by picking a few odd flowers and leaves from around your house or garden.

I would like to say that The Lord God made all these beautiful flowers for us to enjoy day by day.

I hope you have the chance to look at a flower today and marvel at the soft petals and especially the perfume.

Yes I know that some do not have any perfume and some smell peculiar – however there are special reasons for those.

Odd Hanging Basket

This was one of our Odd looking Hanging Baskets.

It had a Sculptured like appearance.

I thought it looked great – especially when the tiny orange trumptet like flowers were out in bloom.

I don’t seem to have a photo of them, sorry about that.

The plant is a succulent and although the stems grow downwards they then change and turn up towards the sun before the flowers appear on them.

The whole thing looks very artistic.

Because the above plant lifts its stems upwards before the flowers appear I thought this poem would be quite nice today.

ALL THE FLOWERS

All the flowers their faces lift

to the sky and never cry,

for anything us mortals need.

Except – maybe for their seed,

to carry on their fruitfulness,

of reproducing God’s good work,

in making flowers of glorious hue

for the likes of Me and You.
