Gluten Free – Avocado with Buckwheat

Just a nice arrangement in a large Jug. It makes a nice centre piece for the table.

Today would be a good day to pick a Special Flower to put into a vase or nice jug with some leaves from your garden or a small cutting from a branch on a tree. We don’t always need much to make a nice presentation to enjoy for a few days.

Recipe: Here is what you will need: Avocado, Slice of Cold Chicken Breast, Mango Chutney, Garlic Powder, White Pepper.

Put Avocado on the Buckwheat Crispbread, Sprinkle on the Garlic Powder and White Pepper to taste, lay the Chicken Breast on and Spread lots of Mango Chutney on the top. This is a good starter before Dinner or nice to eat at lunch time or whenever you fancy something really tasty.

Let our Light Shine

Here is a lovely Basket of Flowers

 * I think this looks so pretty *

Mostly green leaves and some yellow Lantana but the Red Flower makes all the difference to the arrangement.

So when you make up a posy, vase or basket of flowers it is good to have a focal point sometimes, to make your arrangement look even more special.

Maybe today you could just do that as a treat for the room that you will be mostly

working or sitting in.

What about a Recipe then ???

Here we are:-

Stuffed Dates ………

Pitted Dates + Marzipan

Cut a small slice of Marzipan

and put into the opening in the Date

where the stone has been taken out.

Arrange on Platter.

Cover and keep cold in Fridge until needed.

This is a very simple recipe and very, very tasty to share at a party with your drinks. !

A small slice of Cheese or Cream Cheese instead of Marzipan can be inserted into the dates.

So let your light Shine in regard to arranging a lovely vase of flowers

or even with your cooking your light can shine.

Also in regard to your Hobby whatever it is – let it be seen and enjoy what you are doing.

* So when your light shines it can give pleasure to others*

Here is a Bible quote about the light:

Luke: Chapter 8 verse 16

“No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed.

instead, he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

Today let us be like a lamp shining forth the light –

the love of The Lord Jesus.

Don’t let us be forever hiding the light that is in us.

Have a lovely Day

The above Recipe above is in this book:

Spirit Wind of God

Ferns with Flowers

Ferns/Frods? from our Palms were used for this unusual Basket of Flowers for our latest Arrangement.

The above flower arrangement did look nice from a distance in the Church.  A bit too big to bring indoors unless you have a very large room to put it it.  But if you would like to use the dried fronds that die off from your Palms – well, you can always cut them down to fit your new arrangement and have a bit of fun to make them look nice. It can be a good talking point when your friends come to visit.

This makes a nice change to use some of the dried flower leaves or fronds before they are thrown away.

Here is a Poem for today that I especially like, it was written quite a while ago but it is still a favourite.

Blue Feather

Spirit Wind of God

The Poem was taken form the book: ‘Godly Verses’ by J.M.R. Larman.

Here is an easy Recipe for:

Roast of Goat.

1- Leg of Goat; 1 Clove of Garlic; Mustard; Sherry (Optional); Mint Flakes: Oven Bag;

Cut the Garlic in slices. Cut Slits in the top of skin of Goat, place Garlic in the Slits.  Spread the Skin with some Mustard. Sprinkle with Mint Flakes and Roast in Oven Bag Slowly until tender.

That should be very nice and easy to do.

You could substitute the Goat for Lamb.

Marbles Flwrs Vase

For our Basket of Flowers today we have a Vase of Flowers.

This lovely arrangement of Flowers with Marbles was for my Birthday from my Granddaughter.

It goes to show that you can use Marbles in the bottom of a clear Vase to give a nice effect.

This adds interest when you have visitors and makes a good talking point if can put the vase where they can see it.

Marbles Flwrs Vase

Well I don’t have a poem for today but you may like to know that sometimes I take my breakfast  –  (a bowl of cereal & fruit etc.,) outside to eat as it is warmer than being indoors first thing in the morning.

So surprise, surprise – as I walked down the driveway to the front gate, looking up I saw a Pelican flying overhead.  What a lovely thing to see, that great bird flying around.  Yes we do live quite near the Ocean but that is the first time that I can remember seeing a Pelican fly so close to home.

Have you ever thought of having your breakfast outside instead of sitting at the kitchen table……you never know what you will see in the world outside.

Here is a Bible Verse to think about.

Luke: Chapter 14 verse 3

Jesus asked…

“is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath

or not?”

You may like to check this out in your Bible to see what the answer is.

As for myself I beleive it is right to do so.!

Have a Lovely day today  – maybe find some Marbles and make a Flower Arrangement especially for yourself today.

Even a small arrangement in a Clear Drinking Glass looks good.

With Love and God Bless You.

Be Faithful

 Be Faithful

Another Flower Arrangement ready for Church.

I thought the above arrangement looked quite nice sitting in the green box and with the purple ribbon tucked in with the flowers from my garden.

It is surprising what you can do with culling things from the garden including leaves to put in the background and the really dark leaves in the middle.

Don’t be frightened to experiment with different leaves and foliage to be put in odd containers instead of a vase.

Here is a quick Poem.

This is the Day that the Lord has made.

Come He say’s don’t be afraid.

Laugh and play, sing and pray.

Why not have a glorious day!

And here is a quick Bible Verse:

Revelation:  Chapter 12 verse 10

“Be faithful until death

I will give you a crown of life.”

How about that then – what does it mean if we are to be faithful – well that means – I am pretty sure – to be faithful to God, to Jesus and to The Holy Spirit.

How are we going to do that?  Well the main thing is to try our best to keep the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses.

O.K. so we all fall down on the job – but – through Jesus we can repent and try again to be faithful towards our Heavenly Father.

Have a Lovely Day.

Let us try to be faithful to friends and family as I pray they will be faithful to us as well.
