Healing?

For our Basket of Flowers today we have a Vase of Flowers.

This lovely arrangement of Flowers with Marbles was for my Birthday from my Granddaughter.

It goes to show that you can use Marbles in the bottom of a clear Vase to give a nice effect.

This adds interest when you have visitors and makes a good talking point if can put the vase where they can see it.

Well I don’t have a poem for today but you may like to know that sometimes I take my breakfast – (a bowl of cereal & fruit etc.,) outside to eat as it is warmer than being indoors first thing in the morning.

So surprise, surprise – as I walked down the driveway to the front gate, looking up I saw a Pelican flying overhead. What a lovely thing to see, that great bird flying around. Yes we do live quite near the Ocean but that is the first time that I can remember seeing a Pelican fly so close to home.

Have you ever thought of having your breakfast outside instead of sitting at the kitchen table……you never know what you will see in the world outside.

“is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath

or not?”

Act Wisely

Here is a Basket of Flowers for today.

It is good to see a nice basket of flowers, even nicer to see our cat Harry sitting there.

He is not with us any more as he has gone to cat heaven. However he was a lovely cat very wise but shy and sometime affectionate.

As a token of his affection he would bring a mouse to the back door as a present, so I used to thank him, then leave him to enjoy his prey.

See my servant will act wisely, he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

That is what Isaiah: Chapter 52 verse 13 says – in the Bible.

So when you think of it – Harry cat was acting wisely in catching his prey and bringing it as a gift to us.

Maybe we should act more wisely as we go about our daily tasks, then hopefully The Lord will lift us up. As servants of the living God it is a privilege to be able to do things for Him, to bring our gifts of obedience to Him, is something special.

Here is a Poem for us to think about living Wisely:

These are the days of our lives today, tomorrow, yesterday.

What are we doing with them? where are we now,

where have we been, where will we go?

Some have been to the depths of despair.

Some to the height of glory.

Today is a new day, a time to begin.

Start with a clean sheet at the beginning of morning.

Just as a page is in a book or a canvas for painting,

today will hold the picture that we are painting with our life.

The mornings can start with a Prayer or a curse.

The day will progress and unfold as a flower,

like petals unfolding until the flower is full bloom.

So lets start the day with a prayer and blow away the gloom.

Let us get up from our bed, try to smile and rejoice.

Remember God has given us a voice.

Use it bless those we see today.

Tell them you love them, enrich their day.

We shall be blessed when we live this way.

Today is ours to live.

Love Endures

Vase of Beautiful Flowers in my Studio

Today’s topic is “Love endures for ever” – well it is hard to believe that it really does. When we love someone that love will stay in our heart always. Even if we drift apart we will always remember that we did love that person or creature.

Flowers fade away even the paintings that you can see in the photo above may last for hundreds of years but will one day be no more.

However – the love that we once shared will endure forever and ever – even though we have parted, in the recess of our heart we will remember the good times, that surely is love.

Here is a Bible Verse in regard to enduring Love:

Psalm: 136 verse 26

Give thanks to

The God of Heaven.

His Love endures for ever.

Just think God Loves us forever – whoever and wherever we are.

We cannot get away from his Love, remember He made us and really does care about us. He has feelings and is very sad I am sure when we don’t even acknowledge Him in our lives.

So I pray that our God “The God of Heaven” will bless us today. Amen.

Wisdom

A Lovely Bouquet of Flowers.

It is really good that I can share some of God’s Beautiful Flowers with you even if only on the photo’s of them.

When you have a beautiful flower given to you or a bunch – or pot of flowers I think it is good to take a photo as a keep sake because they fade and die and the memory of them fades as well.

But it you take a photo it is a souvenir to keep forever.

Today’s message is about WISDOM – well you might say what wisdom is there in keeping photo’s of flowers.

Wisdom is a funny thing – I mean, are we wise – not really I suppose. However it is a wise thing to remember and pray for the person who gave you the flowers and if you do happen to have photo’s of them (just the flowers I mean) on your USB or CD or Computer or Printed out onto a Card, the memory of that particular person comes back to you. It is a wise thing then to stop a minute and pray for them.

who gains

So you see you can save the memory of a special flower by drawing or painting it.

This could maybe open up a new Hobby for you.

Walk in Love

The flowers today are Geraldton Wax & Lantana with lovely Brown leaves and some Green ones. They are in wet Oasis to keep them nice ready for Church.

As the heading says to Walk in Love – it would be good to have a poem that relates to that. The only one that I can find at the moment is this one. Which I hope you may like – it is called:

Feel His Love.

Come along take my hand

let us run along the sand.

Feel the wet beneath your feet

think of Jesus on the mercy seat.

Run. run, run along the beach.

Jesus is never out of reach.

Stop and feel His presence there,

look – feel His presence everywhere.

In the light and in the shade,

even in the water as you wade.

Feel His presence – feel His Love

here on earth and up above.

But…..you can walk in love with your friend hand in hand or just beside each other.

To walk in love is really also to walk in Friendship with each other…..that is a nice thought.

Roses & Leaves

Here is a beautiful arrangement of Roses and Leaves from our Son’s garden ready to take to Church.

It is lovely when you can pick flowers and leaves from out of the garden and make a colourful display with them. Sometimes there may not be many flowers growing in your garden but if you fill the pot or put them in the oasis to make an arrangement it is surprising what difference the coloured leaves make with just a few flowers.

I think there were only four Roses in the above photo and the rest were beautiful leaves, plus a gold ribbon tucked in with the basket of Flowers.

Laugh and play, sing and pray.

Upright in Heart

A beautiful Basket of flowers looking lovely as usual ready to take to Church.

Will try to find a Poem about Flowers today:….

Here we are this one is taken from the book of Inspirational Verse.

All the Flowers

All the flowers their faces lift

to the sky and never cry,

for anything us mortals need

except – maybe for their seed,

to carry on their fruitfulness,

of reproducing God’s good work.

In making flowers of glorious hue

for the likes of Me and You.

Just think all they need is a small seed that will grow in the likeness of the flower. God has put a seed in each of His Creations so that they can reproduce in the likeness that it came from.

This is true of all Flora and Fauna – that includes us as Human beings, we are made in the image of God (it says that in the Bible)….. When you think of it we are reproductions of Adam and Eve….(not monkey’s or apes) they have their own seed.

Imagine a great Oak tree has grown from a small seed (called an acorn) we used to pick them up and play with them when we were children. Also we could climb onto the Oak Trees great branches.

Just a tiny seed is all that is needed to propagate any species that you care to mention. The same as when they were first Created by God.

who saves the upright in heart.

Not a very big Verse but you can always read the rest if you like in the Book of Psalms in the Holy Bible.

Be Faithful

Be Faithful

Another Flower Arrangement ready for Church.

I thought the above arrangement looked quite nice sitting in the green box and with the purple ribbon tucked in with the flowers from my garden.

It is surprising what you can do with culling things from the garden including leaves to put in the background and the really dark leaves in the middle.

Don’t be frightened to experiment with different leaves and foliage to be put in odd containers instead of a vase.

Revelation: Chapter 12 verse 10

“Be faithful until death

How about that then – what does it mean if we are to be faithful – well that means – I am pretty sure – to be faithful to God, to Jesus and to The Holy Spirit.

How are we going to do that? Well the main thing is to try our best to keep the Ten Commandments that were given to Moses.

O.K. so we all fall down on the job – but – through Jesus we can repent and try again to be faithful towards our Heavenly Father.

Fragrant Rose Poem

Dear God I’m thinking of that flower. Ever fragrant in every hour.

The wonders of this Universe, makes one want to write a verse.

The delicate softness of the petals Against the hardness of different metals.

To touch a Rose is a wonderful thing. Man made metals – no real pleasure bring.

But touch and smell a dew fresh Rose, is a pleasure few of us really knows.

*

To touch and feel your wonderful world, especially the Petals so curiously curled.

What a priceless treasure the Rose must be.

I pray they’ll be there in Eternity.

What is Time?

What is time? – Time is to live. Time to die. Time to Forgive. Time to try. Time to laugh. Time to cry. Time to sleep. Time to sigh. Time to eat. Time to sing. Time to pray.

Yes – the time is now to pray and praise God. Any time is the right time to Praise The Lord.. Time belongs to God.

Time is Eternal. Time is forever. Time is timeless. Time is time past & present, here and now. Time waits for no one. Time is all around us. Time is quiet. Time you cannot hear. Time can heal. Time you cannot feel. Time you cannot see. Time is like the wind. Time is ever present.

Time has gone. Time is yet to be. Time is NOW.

…

Well there we are when you think of it Time means so much, to some of us there never seems to be enough of it during the day to get done the things that we would like to do. Then to other people time seems to drag on because they sit and wait – maybe for a loved one to come home or maybe sitting waiting for an appointment that seems to take forever before they are seen. Or it could be time waiting for a special phone call.

Whatever it is – Time is really important in our lives. We have to time things just right to catch a bus or a train. Time then means if we miss the connection we have to wait for the next one. Oh! what a burden time can be sometimes when we are waiting and waiting.

But Joy of Joy when our waiting is not in vain for our special loved one to come or the special gift arrives that we have been waiting for, then the Time waiting is completely forgotten.
